FAQ

What is the difference between mg and ppm?

Colloidal silver products generally have two ways of representing the concentration of silver within the solution: PPM and the number of micrograms per serving (mg/L). The PPM reading can be found on the front of the bottle, while the number of  micrograms (mg) per serving size is found in the Supplement Facts section.

To convert the Supplement Facts data to PPM, we can use the following equivalence:

1 PPM = 1 mg/L

For our 16 oz colloidal silver product, there’s .05 mg of silver per 5 ml, or .005 L, serving. Given this information, we can calculate the PPM:

.05 mg / .005 L = 10 mg/L = 10 PPM
From this we can see that the Supplement Facts data and the PPM are equivalent and are just different ways of showing the concentration of silver.
